Carl's Deli dates back to the late 1940's, making it one of the oldest delis in town. In 1969, Carl's was moved from it's original location in University City to Clayton and was established as the Carl's Deli you know and love today. 

Carl's is like a step back in time. The food is made fresh by familiar, friendly faces and you can usually spot Matt, the owner, behind the counter-he may even be preparing your sandwich himself!
